Susanna is the Co-Founder and Co-Director of Liberata Collective; an opera production company who stage operas in the historical acting method of Baroque Gesture.

Liberata Collective enjoyed rave reviews and sold out shows in their first season which saw them perform at Buxton International Festival and Lichfield Festival.

Their current opera is “Orlando” which had its first performance in July 2023, and now will be revived due to popular demand throughout the U.K. in 2024.

Claire Habbershaw and Susanna bring their curated recital of songs alongside poetry, prose and letter readings, showcasing important figures of the female literary output to several venues around the U.K.

The recital was launched at Jersey Festival of Words supported by Moments Musicaux Jersey in September 2023 and will see several revivals during 2024.

They create collaborative, thematic & relevant programmes that include poetry, letter and prose readings alongside lesser-known contemporary song choices and popular classics to connect with a wide range of audiences in a variety of settings. We aim to provide deeper context and challenge audiences to think further on the connection between music and literature.
